ProMedica OpticianLocation: Physicians - Vision Associates - ToledoDepartment: OphthalmologyWeekly Hours: 40Status: Full timeShift: Days (United States of America)Job Summary:ProMedica Optician is a key member of the eye care team. You will help patients by evaluating prescriptions and recommend specific lens materials, designs and frames to best suit your patient's preferences and visual outcomes.You will customize eyewear for each patient by taking measurements with various measuring devices. You also will make minor adjustments or repairs to eyewear for proper fit on your patient.This position includes finishing lab duties such as edging, polishing, tinting and final inspection.This role involves teaching patients how to insert, remove and care for their contact lenses.The above summary of accountabilities is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It should not be considered exhaustive.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least one year of Optician experienceOhio Optician license.
